Four things, done properly

AC repair, replacement, maintenance and air quality

We do HVAC repair on systems that have stopped working, replace the ones that are worn out, and maintain the rest so they keep running. We also clean up the air inside your home or building. The same crew that works on a commercial rooftop unit services the AC beside your house.

What happens when you reach out

What happens after you request service

There are three steps, and at each one you know what happens next and when.

  1. Tell us what's wrong The Request Service form takes about a minute. Tell us where you are, what the system is doing and when suits you, or just call and it works the same way.
  2. We get back to you within the hour We text or call with a time window and the name of the tech who's coming. Emergency calls are answered until 11 PM.
  3. The tech arrives, you approve first The tech diagnoses the problem first and then gives you a quote. Nothing gets replaced until you've said yes to the price.

Maintenance plans

HVAC maintenance plans for homes and businesses

The cheapest repair is the one we catch in March. Florida runs an air conditioner ten months a year, and a plan means someone checks it before the heat arrives. We clean the coils, check the refrigerant and find the part that's about to fail while it's still cheap to replace.

  1. Caught early A weak capacitor or a slow leak shows up on a spring visit, long before the first 95° afternoon.
  2. Costs less to run A clean system with the right refrigerant charge uses less power, so the visit often pays for itself on the bill.
  3. On file Every visit is logged against your equipment, so the next tech starts with the history instead of a guess.

  • Due to issues I’ve had with previous AC services I took the advice of other locals in my area and used Cloud 9. They now do my bi-annual maintenance and all my repairs.

  • When another company told us we needed $5k worth of repairs, I reached out to friends for a recommendation for a second opinion and found Mike with Cloud 9. He responded immediately, and quoted us less than $700.

Questions

Common questions about AC repair and service

These come from homeowners with one condenser and from property managers with twelve. We've answered them the way we would on the phone, and the full list is on the FAQ page.

How fast can you get here?

You hear back within the hour with a time window and the name of the tech who's coming. How soon the van reaches you depends on the day and on what's already booked, but a house with no cooling in July doesn't wait for next week. Emergency calls are answered until 11 PM.

Why is my AC running but not cooling?

Most often the cause is airflow or refrigerant. A clogged filter or a blocked return starves the coil of air until it ices over and stops cooling, and a slow refrigerant leak does the same thing from the other side. Less often the outdoor unit has stopped while the indoor fan keeps running, which usually means a failed capacitor or a tripped breaker. Check the filter and the breaker first, and if neither is the problem, call for AC repair so a tech can put gauges on it.

Is it worth fixing my AC?

It depends on three things: the age of the system, what this repair costs, and what the next one is likely to be. A single part on a unit under ten years old is almost always worth fixing. A compressor or a coil on a unit past twelve, or a system still on R-22 refrigerant, usually isn't worth it, because that's like putting a new engine in an old car. We tell you which it is after the diagnosis, in writing, and the choice is yours.

Do I need a plan to call you for a repair?

No, anyone can call us for a repair. A plan is for people who would rather have their equipment checked before it fails than after.

Do I need to be there for the service visit?

For a house, yes: someone over eighteen who can let the tech in and say yes to the work. For a business, a contact who can approve the quote by phone is enough. Tell us who that is and where the access is when you request service, and the tech won't be standing at a locked door.

What if the job turns out bigger than the quote?

The tech stops and tells you before doing anything beyond the quote. You can approve the new price or decline it, and nobody carries on assuming you'd have said yes.
