We repair, replace and maintain the air conditioning at houses across West Orange County. That covers the condenser on the pad, the air handler in the closet or attic, and the mini-split in the room that never cooled properly.

Our office is in Winter Garden, and one crew handles the whole system: the unit outside, the air handler inside, the thermostat, the ducts and the drain line. You talk directly to the people doing the work, and you get the quote as a number on paper before anyone touches anything.

What happens when you reach out

What happens after you request service

There are three steps, and at each one you know what happens next and when.

  1. Tell us what's wrong The Request Service form takes about a minute. Tell us where you are, what the system is doing and when suits you, or just call and it works the same way.
  2. We get back to you within the hour We text or call with a time window and the name of the tech who's coming. Emergency calls are answered until 11 PM.
  3. The tech arrives, you approve first The tech diagnoses the problem first and then gives you a quote. Nothing gets replaced until you've said yes to the price.

Home AC maintenance plans

A Florida house runs its AC ten months a year, and the week it quits is usually the week everyone else's does too. A plan puts your system on our calendar ahead of the season. We clean the coils, check the refrigerant charge, clear the drain line and find the part that's about to fail while it's still a small job.

  1. Found early A weak capacitor or a slow leak shows up on a spring visit, long before the first 95° afternoon with the house full.
  2. Runs cheaper A clean coil and the right refrigerant charge use less power every hour the unit runs, and in Florida it runs most hours.
  3. On file Every visit is logged against your equipment, so when something does go wrong, the tech starts with the history instead of a guess.

Questions

Home AC questions and answers

These are the questions homeowners ask us most often about their air conditioning, with the answers we'd give you in person.

Why is my AC running but not cooling?

Most often the cause is airflow or refrigerant. A clogged filter or a blocked return starves the coil of air until it ices over and stops cooling, and a slow refrigerant leak does the same thing from the other side. Less often the outdoor unit has stopped while the indoor fan keeps running, which usually means a failed capacitor or a tripped breaker. Check the filter and the breaker first, and if neither is the problem, call for AC repair so a tech can put gauges on it.

How do I fix my air conditioner problem?

Four things are safe to check yourself: the filter, the thermostat (set to cool and below the room, batteries fresh), the breaker, and whether the outdoor unit is running and clear of leaves and grass. Those fix a surprising share of calls. Anything with refrigerant, wiring or a motor isn't a homeowner job, and a part swapped on a guess costs more than the diagnosis would have. If none of those is the problem, call us and you'll hear back within the hour.

Is it worth fixing my AC?

It depends on three things: the age of the system, what this repair costs, and what the next one is likely to be. A single part on a unit under ten years old is almost always worth fixing. A compressor or a coil on a unit past twelve, or a system still on R-22 refrigerant, usually isn't worth it, because that's like putting a new engine in an old car. We tell you which it is after the diagnosis, in writing, and the choice is yours.

Can I reduce my energy bills with a more efficient unit?

Usually, and the older the current one, the bigger the gap. Efficiency ratings have climbed for years, so a new system does the same cooling on noticeably less power than one from the mid-2000s, and it's sized to the house rather than to whatever was on the truck that day. Two cautions: the saving depends on how much you run it and what you pay per kilowatt-hour, so we don't promise a percentage; and a new unit on leaky ducts throws part of the gain into the attic. We look at both before we quote.

Do I need a plan to call you for a repair?

No, anyone can call us for a repair. A plan is for people who would rather have their equipment checked before it fails than after.

How often should I change my AC filter?

A standard one-inch filter every month through the summer and every two in the cooler months; a thick media filter in its own cabinet every six to twelve. Pets, a house under renovation or a family with allergies shorten all of those. Hold it up to the light: if you can't see through it, it's done. A loaded filter is the cheapest problem an air conditioner can have and the most common one we find.
