Generations of experience, a tradition of trust

How Cloud 9 AC got started

Mike Lowery learned the trade beside his grandfather and started his own company in Winter Garden in 2020. The people who work here live in the same towns we serve.

  1. 2006

Learning the trade beside his grandfather.

Born and raised in Winter Garden, Mike Lowery started in 2006 working alongside his grandfather, who built a residential air-conditioning business and grew it into a multistate commercial HVAC operation. That's where he learned to do the work properly and to treat people right.

  2. 2020

Cloud 9 A/C Services LLC is founded in Winter Garden.

The idea was to bring the know-how of a big operation together with the attention and accountability of a family company. Cody was part of it from the first day.

  3. Home

    Winter Garden is home.

Mike Lowery is a lifelong Winter Garden resident raising four kids here, and the rest of the team has family roots in Central Florida too. Most of our work comes by word of mouth. We have 57 Google reviews at 4.8, and most new customers tell us a neighbor sent them.

  4. Now

Homes, businesses and the people who manage them.

Today we look after homes and commercial buildings, including apartment communities, restaurants, storefronts and medical offices, many of them alongside the property managers we partner with. Every customer gets the same response time, the same written quote and the same people responsible for the work.

Three people you'll know by name

Meet the Cloud 9 AC team

We're a small, close-knit team built on years of experience and long friendships. There's no dispatcher between you and the people doing the work.

  • Michael Lowery

    Founder & President

Michael has been in the trade since 2006, when he started beside his grandfather, and he founded Cloud 9 AC Services in 2020. He's a lifelong Winter Garden resident and a father of four.

  • Cody

    Field Operations Manager

Cody was friends with Michael long before the company existed and has been part of it since day one. He runs the work in the field, and his name turns up in a good share of our reviews.

  • Chelsea

    Office Manager

Chelsea runs the office and the paperwork, and she makes sure every customer is looked after with care from the first call to the last invoice.

Licensed, insured and on the record

Our HVAC license, insurance and certifications

This is the paperwork you should check before anyone works on your equipment. Every line here also appears on your quote.

License
We're a Florida state-certified air-conditioning contractor, and our license number is on every quote and every invoice. Lic. CAC1820983.
Insurance
We carry general liability insurance on every job. We send a certificate of insurance on request, and on permitted commercial work it's already on file with the city.
The company
Cloud 9 A/C Services LLC is a Florida company, registered with the state in 2020 and active today. Our office is on Dillard Street in Winter Garden.
Certifications
Our techs are EPA-certified for refrigerant handling, which is the certification that matters on a repair. We also keep our factory training current on the equipment we install.
Equipment
We service every major make and install the ones that hold up in Florida heat. We have no house brand and no sales quota, so there's no product line we have to push.
Permits
We pull a permit wherever the work needs one and close it out when the job is done, so the inspection and the paperwork are finished before we are.

Three things we hold ourselves to

How we work: our three promises

These are three promises you can check for yourself on every call, starting with the first one.

  1. We show up when we said. You hear back within the hour with a set time for the visit, so you aren't waiting in all afternoon. If that time has to move, we tell you before it does. Emergency calls are answered until 11 PM.
  2. We tell you before we charge. The diagnosis comes with a written quote and a plain explanation of what's wrong. Nothing gets replaced, added or upsold without you saying yes to a number first.
  3. We fix it right, or we tell you why not. If a repair will hold, we do the repair. If a unit is genuinely worn out, we tell you so and explain why, and we never push a replacement just because it's easier for us.

  • They replaced my ac with a superior system at a much better price than multiple other vendors. Service is good and when you call for service, you are speaking with the owner.

  • Definition of quality and professionalism from beginning to end. They were quick to respond, diagnosed the issue and replaced my entire system all within 48 hours of me reaching out.

  • Due to issues I’ve had with previous AC services I took the advice of other locals in my area and used Cloud 9. They now do my bi-annual maintenance and all my repairs.
