Retail store HVAC service in West Orange and south Lake County

We handle retail store HVAC across West Orange and south Lake County: the rooftop units over the sales floor, the split systems in the back, and the thermostats that run them. Shoppers don't stay long in a store that's too warm. Most leases also say who can go on the roof and when, and we work within those terms. You hear back within the hour, and the quote comes in writing so you can send it to the landlord or head office.

On a sales floor, a comfortable room keeps customers shopping longer. The equipment is usually a rooftop unit you've never seen, on a building you don't own, under a lease that says who can touch it.

We're based in Winter Garden and work across West Orange and south Lake County. We work in strip centers, standalone stores and showrooms, on the rooftop package units, split systems, thermostats and controls that serve them.

What goes wrong on a sales floor

Common HVAC problems in retail stores

These are the problems you're most likely to call us about, with what we do about each one written beside it.

  • What goes wrongThe floor is warm and customers aren't staying.

    What we do

Look at the unit, not the thermostat

A sales floor warms up from doors, lights and people, and the thermostat on the back wall can't tell. We compare what the unit is doing with what the room needs, then tell you whether it's a repair, a setting, or a unit that's too small for the job.

  • What goes wrongThe landlord owns the roof. You own the problem.

    What we do

A certificate of insurance on request

If the landlord or property manager wants a certificate of insurance before anyone goes on the roof, ask for it when you book. Tell us what the lease says about access and hours, and we'll work within it.

  • What goes wrongWork during store hours means a closed door.

    What we do

    Scheduled around store hours

When the work is booked ahead, we can come early, late or on a day you're closed. The visit happens while the floor is quiet, and your staff know what's coming and when.

  • What goes wrongSeveral stores, several roofs.

    What we do

    One account for every store

You get one contact and one invoice for every store. Each store's units and every visit are logged against its address.

On a date you and the landlord both know

A maintenance plan for your store

A sales floor can't close for a breakdown. A plan puts the rooftop unit on a schedule you and the landlord can see coming, with the quote for it in writing.

Visits
Twice a year for most stores, quarterly where it's needed
Covers
The unit over the sales floor and the split system in the back, on a date the landlord has been told about
You get
The equipment on file and the plan quote in writing, something you can send up the chain

Questions

Retail store HVAC questions

These are the questions we hear most from commercial customers, answered the way we’d answer them on the phone.

Who do you deal with when the landlord owns the roof?

We deal with both of you. The lease says who can touch the equipment and who pays for what, so we read it first. We send the landlord whatever the lease asks for before anyone goes up, and we keep you both informed. The repair keeps your store cool, and the paperwork keeps the landlord covered.

Can you do the work outside our business hours?

Yes, we schedule planned work around your business hours, early or after close, agreed with you first, so the door stays open.

Why is the store floor warm when the thermostat reads fine?

A thermostat only reports the air around it, so it can't tell you what the unit on the roof is doing. A warm floor with a normal reading usually means the unit is short on capacity or refrigerant, a coil is dirty, or the cool air isn't reaching the floor. We go up on the roof and measure, rather than reset the thermostat and leave.

Do we get a quote before any work starts?

Yes, you get the quote in writing. We explain what we found and write up what it takes to fix and what it costs. Nothing is done until the person who signs off has approved it, whether that's you, an owner, a board or a landlord.

For your building
