A clinic is a building full of people who can't leave: the ones in the waiting room, the ones on the table, and the ones who work there all day. The temperature and the air are part of the visit.

We're based in Winter Garden and work across West Orange and south Lake County. We look after split systems and rooftop units, thermostats and controls, and filtration for the rooms where the air matters most.

What goes wrong in a clinic

Common HVAC problems in medical offices

These are the problems you're most likely to call us about, with what we do about each one written beside it.

  • What goes wrongPatients complain about the temperature, and the front desk hears it all day.

    What we do

    One room at a time

A waiting room, an exam room and a lab don't want the same air. We look at what each room gets against what it needs, and sort out the equipment and the settings that decide it.

  • What goes wrongThe air in the waiting room is part of the visit.

    What we do

    Filtration and humidity control

We can add UV at the coil, fit filters to the equipment and change them on a schedule, and keep the humidity where it should be. How far filtration can go depends on the equipment and the job, and the indoor air quality page has the detail.

  • What goes wrongNobody can work on the system while the clinic is open.

    What we do

    Scheduled around clinic hours

When the work is booked ahead, we can come early, late or on a day the clinic is closed. The visit happens while the building is quiet, and the front desk knows what's coming and when.

  • What goes wrongA practice manager answers to a partner or an owner.

    What we do

The quote in writing, before any work

The quote says what's wrong, what it takes to fix and what it costs, with the repair-or-replace case if there is one. You can forward it to the partners or the owner exactly as it is.

Filters changed on a schedule

A maintenance plan for your medical office

A clinic can't have a warm waiting room, and it can't have the system down on a clinic day. A plan keeps the filtration on a change schedule and the equipment looked at before the season.

Covers

  • I called Cloud 9 at 9:27am on a Wednesday and reached Mike on the first ring. He had me text name and address to him and he would send a tech to our home shortly. Cody, the technician, showed up at 11:00am on the dot.

Questions

Medical office HVAC questions

These are the questions we hear most from commercial customers, answered the way we’d answer them on the phone.

Is the system failing if one exam room is always warm?

Usually not, because one warm room on a system that cools everywhere else is normally a balance problem. The cause tends to be a damper, a run of duct, or a return that was never finished in the build-out. We look at the room before we look at the unit.

Can you improve the air quality in a clinic waiting room?

Yes, filtration is part of the work in a clinic. We fit better filters in the returns that serve the waiting room and the exam rooms, put them on a change schedule so they aren't forgotten, and balance the air so each room gets its share.

Can the work be done when the clinic is closed?

Yes, we schedule planned work in a clinic around your hours: early, late or on a day you're closed, agreed with you first.

How fast do you respond to a commercial call?

You hear back within the hour with the name of whoever is coming and when they'll arrive. Emergency calls are answered until 11 PM.
